When I started training with Dave I was recovering from Shin splints and just a couple of years later I came third in Britain’s Strongest Woman (BSW) 2010, something I had never even thought of doing before! Dave is a supportive and encouraging coach, which was especially important when I was recovering from injury. His passion for health and fitness mean that his knowledge of different training methods and techniques is seemingly endless. He is able to help with nutrition, injury rehabilitation and fitness, performance or aesthetic goals.
I am a hockey player at heart and Dave has been able to devise weekly programmes that test my strength and stamina to ensure I am match fit when in-season. Out of season I enjoy a change of routine and use mainly strength sessions. I enjoy the physical and psychological challenge that strength training provides and knowing just how hard Dave trains himself, I have always looked up to him (although I try not to tell him too often!). Without Dave I would not be strong enough to compete in BSW and would not have had the confidence to enter. I will enter again this year and know I can always count on his support!
